NARRATIVE THERAPY WITH OFFENDERS IN A GROUP SETTING
Externalization is the process that separates the person from the problem; for example, it is the separating of the offenders from their crimes, and not having them self-identify as criminals. The offenders have skills, values, and beliefs, and it is important to highlight them and have them understand that they can bring value to their community upon release from the correctional facility (White, 2007).
The actors in the role play are all volunteers and gave consent to participate in the role play. None of the actors have served time within the correctional system.
